Ismet Dogan

Ismet Dogan was born in 1957, Adiyaman, Turkey. After graduating from Istanbul Marmara Faculty of Fine Arts he received French government scholarship in Paris where he studied two more years. In his initial works Dogan problematized the concepts of history, culture and tradition by combining them with dadaist techniques of collage, graffiti and assemblage as well as ready made objects. He criticize modernity through hermeneutic reading with aspects of language and history. His works are being exhibited in various international solo and group exhibitions.
